   My 8 year old daughter and myself visited the Popeye’s at 5201 W Mercury blvd Hampton va 23666 at 4:00 pm today and encountered the WORST customer service imaginable, there were no customers inside or in the drive thru at the time, and we were not allowed to order, we weren’t acknowledged at all. The manager was dirty and unkept, had a nasty demeanor and refused to take our order, she also allowed the employees to be loud, inappropriate and unprofessional, having personal conversations and stand around, after not being greeted or acknowledged, being ignored by every employee while waiting at the counter, we walked out of the establishment. We returned so I could obtain a phone number to contact customer service, not only were we ignored not being able to purchase food, but we were denied the number for customer service, I looked it up online and telephoned while still in the parking lot of Popeye’s. I was able to speak with someone that was extremely patient, professional, courteous and helpful. However this incident bothered me, these individuals had no fear of consequences or repercussions for their rude and hateful behavior, this is very disconcerting that a paying customer would incur a building full of obnoxious employees, that feel it’s ok to be belligerent! Everyone on that shift should be fired! They were blatantly disrespectful and in front of my child! Who is in charge of hiring? They need to be replaced as well! The establishment had all African American employees, I too am African American so this isn’t about race, it’s about professionalism and principles, of which not one of these employees possessed! The poor work ethic and “ghetto” mentality has no place into the service industry or any where in a professional environment and was a poor representation of Popeye’s. I was embarrassed for the business having individuals such as these as the face of your establishment. Hopefully this will bring attention to the matter and no one else will have the negative experience my child and I encountered. That entire shift of employees needs to relieved of their job positions, it’s obvious they don’t value or appreciate being employed, please hire individuals that will appreciate having a legitimate paying job.
